Wow! Where were these taken? I cheated and took mine at a place called the Butterfly Palace in Branson, Missouri. It is a rainforest habitat with over 1,000 butterflies. I'd say you win points for capturing a photo of one outside.
I was able to get these pictures in Yorktown. This monarch came and kept going from our parsley to these flowers, so I took about 15 pictures while it completed this amazing dance. Then I found out that it had laid eggs all over my parsley.
